Court Information

Bay Mills Tribal Court serves the needs of the community with criminal and civil cases. All tribal court judges are elected to office. Cases heard include: divorce, custody and support; paternity; Indian Child Welfare Cases; money collection; juvenile and tort; probate; landlord-tenant cases.

Requirements

The Bay Mills Tribal Appellate Court hears appeals from final orders or decisions of the Tribal Court; or a decision of a tribal licensing entity which denies, terminates, suspends or restricts a license required by tribal law or regulation and which the person seeking the license seeks review. The Bay Mills Tribal Appellate Court meets on an as needed basis. For more information, review Chapter 2 of the Code.
